The Leeds Gastroenterology Institute is based at St James’s University Hospital. We also provide outpatient services at Leeds General Infirmary and Wharfedale General Hospital. The hospital provides a regional and supra-regional service for benign and malignant pancreatic and liver disease and the gastroenterology department has close working links with pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery, hepatology, radiology and oncology services.
The post holder will be able to pursue further training in all aspects of benign and malignant PB medicine and participate in dedicated clinics and regional MDT meetings. Training in ERCP and/or EUS and advanced pancreaticobiliary endoscopic techniques will be delivered in at least 5-6 dedicated lists per week. It is expected that applicants will have commenced training in ERCP but prior EUS is not essential.
