Arthur Hurst Lecture

Annual lecture given in memory of Sir Arthur Hurst, the founder of the Society, given by a person of distinction, proposed by the President and approved by the Council. They will receive free registration for the conference and a copy of Arthur Hurst lectures book.

Diane Campbell Nursing Excellence Awarded Lecture

Recognises an outstanding Nurse who has made a sustained and exceptional contribution to the fields of Hepatology and/or Gastroenterology Nursing in the UK.

It celebrates clinical innovation, leadership, education, and research that improve outcomes and experiences for patients with liver or gastrointestinal diseases. This is one of the most prestigious awards of the șÚ°”±ŹÁÏÍű for Nursing professionals. The recipient will be invited to deliver the lecture at the Annual Meeting.

The Barbers’ Company Award for Trainees in Gastroenterology

This prize has been established by the Barber’s Company in memory of Sir Francis Avery Jones, past Master of the Barbers’ Company and past President of the șÚ°”±ŹÁÏÍű. The purpose of the award is to help provide a UK trainee in gastroenterology or hepatology with an opportunity to gain training that would not otherwise be available as part of his/her training programme, or to develop a clinical service that will benefit patients.
