Project 90

The ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø (ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø) will celebrate its 90th birthday in 2027. The ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø plans to celebrate the profession and the membership by providing enhanced membership benefits in the run-up to this birthday with an overarching aim of allowing members to discover or re-discover their passion for the profession and specialty. With Dr Beverly Oates as overall Clinical Lead, we have created five workstreams, designed for multi-disciplinary access.

I am thrilled to be Clinical Lead for ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø’s ambitious Project 90. I am dedicated to fostering the growth and development of healthcare professionals, empowering them to deliver exceptional patient care. I am passionate about high quality patient care and have been National Clinical Lead for Gastro on the Getting it Right First Time (GIRFT) programme since 2017. I have been a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Wirral University Teaching Hospital since 2003, was Mersey Gastro TPD for 11 years and National Recruitment Lead for Gastro for 10 years. I have previously been Chair of the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Training Committee and Honorary Treasurer of the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø.
